What is it?

Adware is when you are working away happily on your computer and suddenly ads pop up on your screen. Quite annoying isn’t it. Or maybe you are watching you tube or just surfing the net and these ads keep on popping up. Someone is trying to get your attention to sell you something.

The experts tell us that Adware is made up of two words “advertisement” and “software”giving us the word Adware. So it is a program that works to put ads onto your computer screen while you are working online. Sometimes Adware comes on to your computer through programs that you download. It tracks your surfing habits and send ads based on those habits to you. Free software programs will often have Adware included in the program which may or may not be advertised. This has proven to be an effective way of advertising for many companies. Of course the goal of these companies is to get you the consumer to surf over to their website to look at their product.

How does it Adware effect you and your computer?

At best it is annoying as it distracts you from what you are doing. It wastes your time and at worst it may cause a rise in blood pressure. Oh no not another one.

System freezes or crashes for no apparent reason.

Every time you experience one of the above you may be thinking what will happen next. What do I need to do to fix it?

What you can do about it

You will need the help of a program that can hunt out, remove and then protect your computer from future Adware programs. Be careful as you may download a free program that removes the Adware on your computer but replaces it with Adware programs of its own. Free doesn’t always mean free.

One of the most frustrating things can be having computers continuing to crash, despite all your best efforts to keep this from happening. The full help of the information technology department may not be enough to prevent these crashes. The system starts off clean with passwords needed to be able to open and use the personal computer so that not just anyone can access it.

What follows then are that the programs essential to the business and the owner are uploaded and these said programs are double checked to see if they do not have any bogus programs attached to them before they are installed. It's also important that internet usage be limited, as this helps protect against any program or connection that can bring additional programs to the existing system. This would mean that only company email and networks can be opened by most individuals, while messenger programs or online shared networks cannot be upload, helping to ensure that employees are actually working in the office. Good luck, however, in trying to prevent one hundred percent of your employees from not being able to download files, songs, or chat programs on the office computer. That being said, it is now time to turn your attention to the major enemy of the cyber industry these days: spyware.

For of course there will always be those people who will take advantage of something positive and ride on it in a negative manner. Occasionally, the negative will become so very popular that many individuals will start choosing to engage in these negative actions. The evil genius behind spyware is a traitor to all its victims who totally unaware of its existence that is not until it messes up a seemingly functional system. There is nothing at all right or justified about collecting personal information about a person without their knowledge, and that is exactly what spyware does. This proliferating and destructive tool is a complete invasion of privacy.

Spyware's annoying cousin is adware, which works by having online ads pop up for no reason and install materials on your system, no matter what you do to close the advertisement. This is a difficultly reality to get out of, and the best you can hope for is that the people responsible can be tracked down and made to stop their nefarious actions. The truly heinous thought is that many of these illegal operations have connections to truly legal companies who provide legal services and programs. The usefulness of most adware spyware removal programs is in question, and will likely not remove all the adware or spyware. Some of these adware spyware removals do work, but far more are actually con spyware in hiding. Upon finding one that does, keep that adware spyware removal program, since so many of them are cons.
